Whether it be in the pool or on dry land there's no stopping our Scouts at the moment as the team who recently entered the Kent Scouts County Hike walked off with yet another trophy.
Yes, that's right dear reader, 2 trophies in as many weeks!
3 Scouts from the Troop joined with 4 others from our friends at 6th Swanley Scouts to enter a team in the Bronze category of the Kent Scouts County Hike, this year organised & hosted by Swanley District.
Depsite a pre 8am start, the joint team gelled together quickly and set about the course they were given to navigate and complete the various challenges on the way.
Out of 46 teams entered across the event our intrepid team managed to hold it together for a 6 mile hike, first of all plotting their route on a map, a rigorous kit inspection before setting off all adding to the pressure of the competition. The challenges they faced ranged from navigating a minefield (not a real one), removing a radioactive isotope from a secure areaa without stepping inside, to attempting to complete as many word searches as possible in 5 minutes and a giant kims game!
