Cubs win District Camp Prize
31st May 2009
Congratulations to the Cub Pack for winning the camping prize at the 2009 District Cub Camp at Hopehill.
Points were awarded during the weekend. They won the award for keeping a tidy site, tidy tents, helping the leaders, and taking part in the many activities. The points were awarded by other Pack leaders.
They won the Hike and the Trading Post challenges where they had to try and earn as much money as possible by undertaking mini challenges, such as knots, sewing & map reading as well as obtaining 20 words from the new Chief Scouts name “Bear Grylls”.
The Cubs were also challenged to perform some campfire stunts. Diversity had better watch out - Eynsford and Farningham Cubs really do have talent!
The Cubs were over the moon at winning the award and are wearing the woggles they won with pride. Here a representative of the pack is pictured receiving the prize from District Commissioner Steve Pursey at the recent District AGM.
